Children’s Book Insider

Standard

A writer can never have too many resources.  I have a great one for you: Children’s Book Insider (www.write4kids.com).  This website is bursting with information to help you become a better writer, find an agent/publisher, and get connected to other writers.  Their online newsletter provides articles on craft, as well as agents looking for submissions.

After joining (which was a nominal fee), I started browsing the series of tutorials available and was overwhelmed with the options.  There is lots to do and see on this site!  Upon joining, I also joined “The Clubhouse” and got connected with a critique group.  I was very excited to discover this opportunity, as my past group has kind of dissolved.

I am still discovering all that this resource has to offer, but am excited to have this new source and connection to the children’s writing community.  Check it out!

Writers Digest

I recently received my 2011 Children’s Writer’s & Illustrators Market.  With it came a free online subscription to Writers Digest.  I was browsing around on it for a little bit and became overwhelmed with all of the resources in the Children’s genre.  Have you used Writers Digest as a tool in your writer research?  Also, any tips on how to navigate this new, beautiful book?  I am starting to go into information overload.  When do I write?!!!
